Knowledge society discourse and higher education

According to Valimaa & Hoffman (2008)

Affirm that  the knowldge society of the higher education has been used globally in the media and in academic research as a term which needs neither introduction, nor explanation, the point is, the role of university growth  knowledge in the development of economies and societies, they get the sources of innovation are increasingly derivative from research and development.

In Jalisco for example, in the furniture expo-winter the goverment "Aristoles Sandoval" has known and he has said, the Triple Helix by Etzcowitz, is principal society for develop and grow the economies in the region of Jalisco

Dr. Gayol ask me, if I explain what is Triple Hélix,  of course I´ll will try to explain what is the “ Triple Helix” is used as a model proposed by Henry Etzcowitz and Leydesdorff (1997).  This model intended that the actions of the University is a creator of knowledge, which plays a role primordial relationship between industry and government and how they are developed to create innovation in organizations as a source  knowledge creation.
This model is  an intellectual process oriented display evolving relationship between  university-society and  characterized by university intervention in the processes economic and social.
This model provides a link between disciplines and knowledge, where the university has a strategic role and is the basis for generating relations with the company.
One of the objectives of the Triple Helix is the search for a model that reflects  the complexity of the concept of attachment, taking into account the environment in which they are based relationships between agents  link.
Etzkowitz and Leydesdorff (2000) propose three different aspects of the Triple Helix
The first Model, the nation state encompasses academia and business addresses the relationships between them. “The state covers the industry and academia and regulates relations between the spheres institutional”
The Second Model, separating institutional sphere strong division boundaries. “Laissez-Faire ”
A third model where academia, government and industry together are generating a knowledge infrastructure in terms of overlapping institutional spheres, each in the role of the other and with hybrid organizations emerging . “Trilateral networks and hybrid organizations”
